About El Patio de Pancho
I both ate at Dave’s restaurant and went on one of his horse tours.
Dave has a colorful personality and you are sure to get an adventure with him and his animals no matter how long you meet him.
The food -
The vegetarian food was great and they where very flexible with different preferences and needs.
The tour -
As for the tour it was such a fun, flexible and enjoyable experience. It truly is something unique that both helps local farmers and gives you a new view of the nature.
The horses are very calm and it’s no problem being a beginner at riding but if you are more experienced you can have a lot of freedom and fun!

We went on river the horse back tour with David a few days ago and it was amazing. The horses were rented from a local family in el transito, we got to see their beautiful farm and learn about their lives. David taught us a lot about nicaraguan culture and politics, it was very interesting! The horse were very good, I am a beginner at riding so I felt very happy to be able to gallop so freely without any problem! The river was beautiful as well as the forest and farms, truly amazing! We spent 2-3 hours riding the horses but in total the tour was longer because of the time we spent at the farm. That night we had dinner at El Patio De Pancho, the food was amazing (a lot of vegetarian options) and we had a lot of fun with David, his goat Pancho and his beautiful parrots.
Delicious food! The breakfast burrito is amazing, everything fresh and the owners are really nice!
Great spot! Good burger, hearty ceviche, and pleasant conversation with the owner made for a welcoming experience. We’re curious to try their specials next time!
Highly recommended. Very good pizza and burgers.
